The Penalty Ranges page defines the test result thresholds and rate levels used to calculate penalties under the progressive system. Each range group sets the limits where milk quality falls below standards and determines the per-liter deduction. The system uses these ranges to calculate and apply financial penalties to the producer’s payment, with rates increasing based on the producer’s violation history within the past 12 months.
To open the Penalty Ranges page from the Dashboard page:
•Click the Quality arrow on the menu bar, select Quality Range Maintenance. Then in the navigation menu select Penalty Ranges.
Note: The first page displays all current penalty ranges and values. Clicking Edit icon opens the details for the specific penalty range grouping for a quality type (e.g., Butterfat, Lactose, Protein, etc.) Past values cannot be edited, but future sets can be added and updated as needed.
The Penalty Ranges page provides:
•View of the current penalty ranges and their values
•Ability to add, edit or delete values of current of future penalty range groupings
•Ability to sort column details in ascending or descending order
